Nurturing our environment, positively contributing to the communities we inhabit, taking an active role in creating healthier food for healthier lives and ensuring we manage essential resources carefully, source sustainably and ruthlessly reduce waste.

Climate Net Zero

Our Climate Promise has two clear objectives:

1. To support industry-wide systems change for a sustainable food system.

2. To enable meaningful change across our wider business activities in both the public and private sector.

A scary amount of perfectly decent fruit and vegetables get wasted every year.

Waste Knot harvests all the fruit and veg that do not meet supermarket trading standards, due to them being overgrown or in abundance and repurposes them to a variety of businesses that are more than happy to purchase such products. This avoid the food from ending up in landfills.

Here at Northern Trust we are doing our bit to help this causes and with our new partnership with Waste Knot we will help wage this war against waste. Keep an eye out for our waste knot recipes in and around the restaurant.
